Free Core Portfolios
ETF PM offers free passive core portfolios in an effort to maximize client value and to provide tough competition for active management.
Multi-Asset Class Diversification
We have designed three passive core allocations to provide suggested examples of well diversified growth portfolios: Basic Core, Unconventional Core, and Advanced Core. We illustrate their returns versus two benchmarks: a simple “70/30 Growth” portfolio (70% S&P 500 and 30% Long-Term Treasury Bonds) and the S&P 500.
Basic Core and Advanced Core
ETF PM was responsible for the development of the Basic Core and Advanced Core portfolios, and we had full discretionary authority over the selection of investments.
Unconventional Core
ETF PM modeled the asset allocation in the Unconventional Core after the core portfolio recommended by David Swensen in his book “Unconventional Success: A Fundamental Approach to Personal Investment.” Mr. Swensen’s long-term track record managing Yale University’s multi-billion dollar endowment fund is leading Wall Street in many respects, and his views on portfolio management have broadened the industry’s perception regarding modern portfolio diversification.

These portfolios are designed to represent broad core growth portfolios and do not take into account an individual’s investment objectives and financial circumstances. While investors must still pay transaction costs and an annual expense ratio, these expenses are paid directly to other cost-efficient service providers and are typically very low in total. See our disclosures page for full disclosures on all of ETF PM’s portfolios.
