The S&P 500 (SPY) fell by 3% today. When your portfolio needs extra risk control, consider the exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that track long-term Treasuries (TLT and TMF) in the investable benchmarks. These bond ETFs have repeatedly delivered important portfolio protection when it was needed most, including today’s gains of 1% and 4%, respectively.
Also, note that GSX Techedu (GSX), a relatively new technology stock holding for ETF PM, is performing extremely well. GSX is now trading at $46/share, up well over 300% within nine months of the company’s initial public offering (IPO) last June ($10.5/share). GSX provides online large-class tutoring services in China, including English courses, and personal interest courses such as yoga and guitar.
ETF PM has long positions in TLT, TMF and GSX. Read our new book, “Investable Benchmarks,” and contact us today.
