Financial Advisor Supports Schools and Charities

THOUSAND OAKS, CA (January 2, 2013) – ETF Portfolio Management (ETF PM), a specialized financial advisory firm, has pledged $43,000 in charitable donations since 2010. The firm has a Pledge to Give Back in which a percentage of each client’s annual advisory fee is donated to the school or charity selected by the client.
Since inception of the Pledge, ETF PM has supported the following 31 important community entities:
Six Public Schools – Agoura High School, CA, Banyan Elementary School, CA, Lewiston High School, ID, Otsego Elementary School, NY, Thousand Oaks High School, CA, Sycamore Canyon School, CA.
Three Private Schools – La Reina High School, CA, St. Michael’s School, CA, and Viewpoint School, CA.
Two YMCAs – Miller Family & Triunfo, facilities in Southern California for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Calvary Chapel Echo Park – a small fellowship of about 100 people that annually supplies over 100 Thanksgiving food baskets to local elementary schools in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles.
Casa de Amma – a unique apartment community in Southern California fostering growth and independence in adults with special needs through a broad spectrum of vocational, residential, social, and educational opportunities.
Casa Pacifica – serves abused and neglected children and adolescents, and those with severe emotional, social, behavioural, and mental health challenges.
Children’s Aid Society – a group that has been serving New York’s neediest children and families for over 150 years. All aspects of child development are addressed at over 45 locations.
Craig D. Tifford Foundation – provides funding for research, to increase public awareness, and to further patient education and support for men with testicular cancer.
From Chrysalis to Wings – a provider of counselling, support, and education for families with malformation caused by birth defects or disfiguration of the body due to illness or trauma.
Georgia Network for Educational and Therapeutic Support – 24 programs that support the local school systems’ continuum of services for students with disabilities, ages 3-21.
Hearing Health Foundation – founded in 1958, the foundation works to prevent and cure hearing loss through ground-breaking research.
Inheritance of Hope – a provider of books and literature, life-changing family retreats, and support for children and families with a parent diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
Khan Academy – a free world-class education system through an extensive video library covering everything from K-12 math to science, history, and finance. Khan is revolutionizing education by helping anyone with Internet access to learn efficiently and at their own pace.
Malibu Adamson House Foundation (DBA Malibu Lagoon Museum) – a museum that preserves a classic home designed by Stiles O. Clements in 1929 along one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California.
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center – one of the world’s premier cancer centers in patient care, research and education, with facilities in New York and the tri-state area.
Nature Conservancy – a leading conservation organization working to protect ecologically important resources.
Ronald McDonald House New York – a “home-away-from-home” for families to stay close to their hospitalized child at little or no cost. Enables parents to focus on the health of their child and to communicate with their child’s medical team to keep up with complicated treatment plans.
Salvation Army New Jersey – for more than a century, The Salvation Army has provided social and spiritual services to communities worldwide.
School On Wheels – a tutoring service for homeless children founded in 1993 by Agnes Stevens, a retired teacher in Santa Monica. Hundreds of volunteers work one-on-one with homeless children from grades K-12 throughout Southern California.
Seeds of Peace – an internationally-recognized organization dedicated to empowering young leaders from regions of conflict with the leadership skills required to advance reconciliation
and coexistence.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – a research hospital that is internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
United States Power Squadrons Educational Fund – organized in 1914, USPS promotes the development of educational programs in boating, navigation, engine maintenance, weather, and safety.
Unity Shoppe – a central distribution facility in Santa Barbara, CA, that allocates basic necessities to people who are referred by over 300 non-profit organizations.
